The Questions I Wish I Had Asked My Dad
There are so many questions I wish I had asked my father while I still had the chance. Now, I can only hold on to the stories I remember and the lessons he lived so well.

There was so much I never thought to ask. I assumed I would always have time. I thought there would be more tomorrows.
My father was a man of quiet strength and steady faith. He didn’t talk about his feelings easily and I didn’t know how to ask the right questions in a way that wouldn’t feel intrusive.
Now I find myself asking the questions in my heart that will never be answered in his voice.
The stories we fail to ask about
often become the stories we
lose forever.
His childhood, the lessons he learned, the moments that shaped him— these are the treasures I wish I had gathered while he was still here to share them.
If you still have the chance to ask, I encourage you—ask now. The answers you discover may one day become the most cherished gifts you ever receive.
A Memory Worth Preserving
My grandmother died when my father was only twelve years old. He helped raise his younger siblings and learned early what responsibility, sacrifice, and love truly mean. These are the things I wish I had asked him to tell me more about.
Let’s keep asking the questions that lead to the stories worth remembering.
